Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton

I am just a 16 year old teenager, i love to travel and explore the world. At this age i already had around 12 safari experience in greatest parks of India that include JIM CORBETT, PANNA , BANDHAVGARH, KEOLADEO, AND RANTHAMBHORE.
The magnificent creatures fascinates me a lot. The aura of nature is unparalleled.
THE JOURNEY TO PANNA.
I live in Varanasi considered the most old and significant city in terms of religion and rituals.
This was my second visit here. Initially i was planning a trip to Bandhavgarh as it has the most tiger density in India. Due to shortage of time and lack of seat availability, i opted for Panna.

I planned my journey through car. I left Varanasi at 8 and reached Panna at 4:30. After gathering some info regarding the tiger sightings and new facilities we made our way to Khajuraho .
I thought that booking a hotel through any travel website would be cheaper but it was a myth. It was the time of may, so the tourism in Khajuraho was very less, so you get a very luxurious hotel at a cheaper price after some negotiations.

The next morning i paid a visit to Panna national park’s office which is situated after you cross the bridge. From there i arranged tickets got a guide and a taxi. Then i was waiting at the main gate. Finally the gate opened and my safari started. In the very first hour i was able to get a glimpse of some beautiful birds as well as a herd of deer and wild boars.
My joy new no bounds, when i was informed by my guide that a tiger has been tracked down to be on the other side of the river.

In Panna there is a tiger tracking team who works 24/7 for their protection and conservation. They often help tourist in tiger sighting.
I reached the boating point as soon as possible, but there were already a bunch of people lined up and waiting for their chance. I thought that it would be petty to stand and wait so decided to move around further and come here later.

After a drive of an hour, i again reached that point and finally managed the boat in no time. I took my binoculars with me. Really they were of great help to me.
It was a motor boat and it was really a great experience for me. The view was awesome.

With the help of my binoculars i got a glimpse of a bunch of storks and a crocodile which was so close to my boat.
Finally the time came when we reached the point where the tigers were tracked last time.

Our guide was the first one to see him, then he pointed his finger towards it and then a we saw the 3 tigers hiding in the grass and lying neck deep in water. I was mesmerized and couldn’t think of clicking a photo. Although it was practically impossible to get a photo, because we couldn’t even see it clearly through our naked eyes. I was able to see them through my binoculars.

The park closing time was near so i returned to shore and reached my jipsy. Then we went on our way towards the exit gate.
This was the end of my safari. Later on i visited Maihar devi temple and also visited Mukundpur white tiger safari to get a glimpse of white tiger.
